Iron Horizon is a collaborative storytelling game set in the Ironsworn: Starforged universe, blending narrative play-by-post roleplay with tabletop mechanics.

What is Ironsworn: Starforged?

Ironsworn: Starforged is a science fiction tabletop roleplaying game where humanity fled to a new galaxy called the Forge, escaping interdimensional entities that destroyed our homeworlds. Here in the Forge, we face balefires (chaotic energy storms), forgespawn (aberrant creatures), ancient Precursor mysteries, and the constant struggle to survive in isolated communities where resources are scarce and communication is fragmentary.

The game uses narrative-focused mechanics where players make action rolls to overcome challenges, swear vows to drive their personal quests, and use oracle tables to generate story elements collaboratively.

How We Play

Iron Horizon combines two approaches:

✴ Narrative Posts (Nova)
Story posts are written here on Nova, advancing character development, relationships, and the ongoing narrative. These are collaborative creative writing that builds our shared story.

✴ Game Mechanics (Discord + Crew Link)
When characters face challenges, make risky moves, or push the story forward, we roll dice using TheOracle bot in Discord. Character sheets and progress tracking live on Crew Link, an external tool designed for Starforged.

Our Crew

We play as equal partners aboard a shared vessel, exploring the Forge's dangerous sectors, pursuing personal vows, and uncovering conspiracies that threaten what little stability remains. Every character brings unique skills, backgrounds, and goals that interweave to create our collective story.

This is a co-op game - we succeed or fail together, make decisions collaboratively, and build this universe as a group. No single player controls the narrative; we all contribute to shaping the Forge and our place within it.
